 Wood Burning Oven Cooking School
I met David and Holly at the Exeter food festival in Devon early in 2009 and knew almost instantly that i wanted to work with them. David spoke pasionatly about his love for artisan bread baking while Hollys sticky toffie pudding and brownies drew crowds from all over England quite litraly.

They purchased a Medium size oven which is now the corner stone to many of their cooking courses .

I attended the course in May 2010 and even after cooking  with wood burning ovens for over 10 yrs  there were still things to learn  it was a great day and David covered a whole host of issues from lighting the fire all the way through to cooking overnight an a cooling oven .

For any one who has bought an oven and wants to take it further  cooking so much more than just pizza you will not be dissapointed .

If you are interested in cooking on a wood burning oven and want to try it out  then this is the perfect way to check it out.

Enjoy .

My Dingly-Dell Woodburning Oven is my absolute favourite way to cook. Not only is it a dramatic and fun cooking experience but the flavour of the food coming out of it is exceptional. It's great for both bread and fish, which we cook a lot, and brings a definite Mediterranean feel to any meal prepared in it.

Throughout the warmer months we'll be running a series of classes aimed at anyone who has or is thinking of buying or building a woodfired oven. I know from experience that using them to maximum effect takes a little getting used to and we'll practice everything; wood selection, lighting and heating the fire, maintaining heat and of course cooking. A woodfired oven has many cooking applications and we'll cook quick dishies when it's very hot , roasts and bread as it cools slightly and long slow braises later on.

We'll use the traditional style oven (pictured above) as well as a smaller more mobile oven (pictured right) to give you as complete a picture as possible of how to get the best from your own oven.

Each course is limited to 8 places to allow for maximum participation. £60.00 per person. Lunch included. Starts 09:30 and ends around 4:00
